SP Hunt · Business research

Research you can cite.

Market research, dashboards, and attorney-directed coordination. Public sources. A written scope. Nothing that requires a license this desk does not hold.

Illustrative series

Sample source log. Not a client result.

  • Lawful sources only

Published records and materials handed over under the scope.

  • No tracking of individuals

No surveillance, location, or dossier work.

  • Data minimization

Collect only what the written scope names.

  • Written scope

Every engagement starts as a document, not a handshake.

  • NDA where relevant

Confidentiality and attorney-directed language when the matter needs them.

Services

Four lines of work.

Organizations, markets, and published records. Not people-tracking. Each line ends in a document you can cite.

01

Market and competitor research.

Published filings, pricing, and category data, cited so a memo can travel.

02

Business analytics dashboards.

Numbers you already hold, arranged so a decision can be checked.

03

Attorney-directed coordination.

Public-source support when counsel is directing. Investigation stays with a licensee.

04

Study and research support.

Literature, source lists, and structured notes for a defined question.

Method

Three steps. Then a citation.

  1. 01

    Scope.

A written question, the sources in bounds, and the work this desk will not do.

  2. 02

    Collect.

Lawful public sources and materials you or counsel provide. Every figure keeps a citation.

  3. 03

    Deliver.

A memo, a table, or a dashboard specification. You can point at the source.

Licensing

Not a private investigator.

SP Hunt does business analytics and public-source research. It does not hold a California private investigator license. It does not offer surveillance, location of persons, or any other investigative service.

If a matter requires investigation, it is routed to a licensed California private investigator retained by you or your counsel. When counsel directs the work, the non-investigative portion uses attorney-directed language. SP Hunt does not subcontract the investigation.

FAQ

Plain answers.

Are you a private investigator?

No. SP Hunt does business analytics and public-source research. It does not hold a California private investigator license and does not offer investigative services.

Do you track people?

No. This desk does not track spouses, employees, or anyone else. It does not offer surveillance, location of persons, pretexting, hacking, or doxxing.

What sources are in bounds?

Published market data, public filings, company pages, open datasets, and materials you or your counsel provide under a written scope. A figure that ships in a deliverable keeps its citation.

What if the question needs an investigation?

The work stops at this desk and is routed to a licensed California private investigator. If counsel is directing the matter, the non-investigative portion can proceed under attorney-directed language. SP Hunt does not perform the investigation and does not subcontract it.

Is there an NDA?

A written scope is required for every engagement. An NDA, and attorney-directed language, are used where the matter calls for them. Reading this site does not open an engagement.

How does a quote leave this site?

The quote page fills in a short Google Form with your brief. When you send it, it goes to the desk. Sending a request does not open an engagement; a scope is a separate written step.

Why we build

SP Hunt does market research, dashboards and attorney-directed public-source coordination. It does not track people. Its founder, Anthony Perlas, holds a long-term mission that he labels as belief: the brightening Sun gives Earth roughly a billion habitable years (Schröder & Smith 2008; Leconte et al. 2013), and good decisions about the long future start with sources you can cite.
